就是不写"A"

Homework --- Write"A".

With a white paper and a pile of beautiful crayons, first she drew a "Dora", then drew a "Stanley". Although I had to admit these drawings are cute and look very much like her stuffy animal characters, they are not "A".

Holding her hands, writes several "A"s and let her mimic. She colors the spaces in the letters instead. Take away the crayons, let her be quiet for several minutes... I ask her if she would like to try to write the letter "A" again. She nodded.

She did write some letter, letter "n". She stretchs the left side upward a little . "h", she says.
These are not "A".

Ground her for a while and went to do something else. She tagged and claimed clearly this time she won't write a "A", "No homework", she protests.

She should be able to write a "A". Today, we continued. She wrote something on the blackboard, looking like a "A". Just when I am about to give her some encouragement, she adds a long curved tail on the letter and it is not a "A" anymore.

So, she is already in her teenage rebellion mood at this 5 years old ? She knows how to write a "A", she knows the rules but she tests the limits and don't want to follow.

Tonight, I will see if she writes the "B".
